Supporting Our Community

JD Psychology Clinic is committed to supporting young children, their families, and the educators who care for them. Each month, we offer one complimentary consultation to a local daycare.

Educators may request guidance regarding concerns such as attention, behaviour, emotional regulation, communication, social interaction, development, or readiness for school. The consultation may include:

• A discussion with the daycare director and educators

• Practical strategies that can be used in the daycare setting

• Guidance regarding whether additional support may be beneficial

• A brief screening when specific concerns have been identified and the child’s parents have provided written consent

Screening is intended to help clarify concerns and guide next steps. It does not replace a comprehensive psychological assessment or provide a diagnosis.

This community service is available to daycares whose participating educators can communicate in English. One complimentary consultation is offered each month, subject to availability.
